Meet your Instructor!
Hi! I’m Brooke, the founder and instructor behind Lil’ Dancer.
Dance has been a huge part of my life since I was eight years old. From a young age, it became an outlet for me—a place where I could express myself, challenge myself, connect with others, and simply feel at home. Over the years, dance became one of the most meaningful parts of who I am.
For five years, I had the opportunity to share that passion as a children’s dance teacher, helping children develop their skills while discovering their own confidence, creativity, and love for movement.
When I went to college, I developed another passion through studying Psychology and Sociology: understanding people, how they learn and develop, and the many different ways we experience the world. I earned bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and Sociology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
After college, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue dance professionally. At the same time, I began working as an ABA therapist, providing one-on-one support to children with autism. Through this experience, I’ve learned the importance of understanding each child as an individual and adapting the way I communicate, teach, and interact based on their unique needs, interests, strengths, and learning style.
Over time, I realized that all of these parts of my life—dance, teaching, psychology, sociology, and my experience working with children with autism—could come together in something meaningful.
That is how Lil’ Dancer was born.
Lil’ Dancer combines my lifelong love of dance with my passion for understanding and supporting children as individuals. My goal is to create individualized, adaptive, and inclusive dance experiences where children with disabilities can explore movement, express themselves, build confidence, and experience the same joy and freedom that dance has always given me.
I believe there is no single “right” way to dance. Every child has their own strengths, personality, interests, and way of moving—and those differences deserve to be celebrated.
